ET takes you behind the scenes of Lifetime's Whitney Houston biopic for an exclusive first look at the much-talked about biopic.
The movie's director and Academy Award-nominee Angela Bassett shared secrets from the set, revealing that Whitney's daughter Bobbi Kristina was very outspoken in wanting to be cast in the role of Whitney but was ultimately denied. Since then, Bobbi Kristina has been outspoken about her disapproval for the upcoming film.
Instead America's Next Top Model alum Yaya DeCosta landed the role and, as you can see in the clip, she makes a very believable Whitney. Meanwhile, R&B Artist Deborah Cox will provide Whitney's singing voice and she gives us a first listen at her powerful voice.

Not everyone is excited as the cast and crew, though. Today, Whitney's mother Cissy Houston told ET exclusively that the family is "exhausted" by the "continuing misinformation and comments offered by people who did not know her" and pleaded with fans to "please let her rest."
