It was officially announced on June 2 that the Oscar winner, 31, is joining the cast of the next installment of the legendary sci-fi franchise.
"I can tell you that I'm going to a galaxy far, far away," Lupita joked, remaining coy about the details of her exciting new role.
She did, however, claim to find the perfect spot for director J.J. Abrams to film the movie.
"I went up to the volcano, actually, and I thought that would be the perfect place to shoot Star Wars," she said, referring to the picturesque Hawaii setting. "We need to get J.J. on the phone."
