Incorporating post-apocalyptic elements with government-controlled dystopian themes, time travel, and super-powered mutants, this new installment in the X-Men franchise may just be able to push all those right buttons to create a juggernaut of superhero flick.

The story blends the casts from the X-Men series and the X-Men: First Class franchise into one star-studded ensemble including James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry, James Marsden, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Peter Dinklage, Nicholas Hoult, Anna Paquin, and Ellen Page, to name a few.
Director Bryan Singer, who directed the original X-Men movie in 2000 and its acclaimed sequel X-2, is back to helm this conglomeration, and he's bringing with him a gritty yet colorful style and dramatic flair.
