Tom Hanks on Playing Walt Disney in 'Banks'
Tom Hanks, Emma Thompson, and more stars from the upcoming film Saving Mr. Banks showed up to the AFI Fest screening of the movie in Hollywood, to talk about the little-known story of P.L. Travers, who wrote Mary Poppins, the book that would become the timeless Disney classic of the same name.
While Thompson stars as Travers in the movie, Tom Hanks takes on the role of Mr. Walt Disney himself, and he opened up to ET on what it was like portraying such an iconic American figure.
"It was an odd challenge," said Hanks, "to be confined in one way, but at the same time free to be the first person who ever puts a stamp on it as an interpretation of who he was."

Saving Mr. Banks hits select theaters December 13, and everywhere on December 20.
