Black or White stars two Oscar winners in Kevin Costner and Octavia Spencer and also features newcomer Jillian Estell, who plays Costner's granddaughter in the film.
In the movie, Costner plays a widower who fights for the custody of his granddaughter in the wake of his daughter's passing. Costner's character hits a roadblock when his granddaughter's paternal grandmother (Spencer) demands that the girl be brought under the care of her father -- a drug addict.
While filming in New Orleans, one of the extras, 6-year-old Landon Banks, interrupts a scene to compliment Costner on his performance in 1999's For Love of the Game.
Black or White premieres fall 2014.
