Could a Las Vegas residency be in the Spice Girls' future?! A least one member hopes so!

A source tells ET that Mel B would love to set up shop in Sin City with the rest of the hit-making girl group. However, the source says that traveling to Nevada would be really hard for Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm, and Geri Halliwell, who all live in their native country, the U.K., with their families. Meanwhile, Mel lives in Los Angeles, making getting to Vegas much easier.

Also, traveling back and forth to Las Vegas could be incredibly taxing on the rest of the girls. The source adds, "They aren't in talks and there is not an offer at the moment [for a Vegas residency]."

But, although the group's future in Vegas is decidedly uncertain at the moment, rehearsals for their upcoming tour are going swimmingly, according to the source.

ET's source shares that Bunton, Chisholm and Halliwell have been rehearsing regularly together in London. And Mel B recently joined the ladies in the U.K. after she spent over two weeks rehearsing solo in Los Angeles with a choreographer.

The source adds that Mel will return to L.A. this week and will continue to work with the L.A.-based choreographer before she heads back to London in less than two weeks, in advance of the tour kicking off on May 24 in Dublin.

These first wishful rumblings of a residency come just one month after Mel C expressed her thoughts on the real reason why Victoria Beckham isn't joining them on the road.

"I'm sure Victoria wouldn't mind me saying, the Olympics was hard for her," Mel C said on the Out to Lunch podcast, referring to Beckham's last performance with the group during the London closing ceremony in 2012. "You know, she's moved on, her life has changed, and she just doesn't have that love of performing, and in fact, it completely petrifies her."

"We're all very sensitive of that, and we completely understand," she later added, insisting that she and the other women harbor no ill will toward Beckham. "We're all sad that Victoria won't be joining us, but it's all genuinely very supportive you know, obviously understand and support her."
