Alexandra Daddario co-stars in the trippy video centered around a seriously destructive relationship.
"Wait" is the song title of Maroon 5's new video, and also what you'll find yourself saying at various points of its mind-bending, three-and-a-half minute runtime.
Adam Levine stars alongside Baywatch actress Alexandra Daddario in his band's newest music video off of their Red Pill Blues album.
The trippy, Dave Meyers-directed production begins with Levine waking from a casket, only to turn around to be at a funeral for Daddario's character. Levine then walks shirtless, in all his tattooed glory to see her lying, bikini-clad, in another casket, before getting punched by a mourner after he drops a scorpion onto her body, thus bringing her to life.
Yeah.... so plot-wise, it doesn't really get any less bizarre, but the through-line amid all the beats -- from Levine rubbing Daddario's face into finger paint, to Daddario blowing up in what is either a multi-missile strike or meteor shower, to Levine unraveling into a bunch of rope as Daddario drives off once and for all -- is that these two are in a seriously destructive relationship.
