The pop star recruited the crowd at her Friday concert to sing happy birthday to her mom, Mary Hudson.

Happy birthday, Mary Hudson!

Katy Perry wished her mom a happy birthday in a pretty epic way on Friday night -- just hours before wildfires forced Mary to evacuate her Santa Barbara home.

The pop star recruited the entire audience of around 10,000 at her Tampa, Florida, concert to sing "Happy Birthday" to her mom, who couldn't have sounded happier to hear from her daughter. "Hi, Feather," Mary adorably said before Perry and the crowd broke into song.

Unfortunately, Mary's actual 70th birthday on Saturday wasn't as celebratory. Perry took to Twitter to reveal that her family was being evacuated due to the Thomas Fire.

"Woke up to wish my mom a happy 70th birthday today to find my brother evacuating them from the insane #ThomasFire in Santa Barbara County that has kicked up once again... praying for the firefighters & first responders that are fighting it back as best they can. Love you SB ?," Perry wrote on Saturday morning.

Perry's family aren't the only ones being forced out of their homes. See which other stars have been affected by the Southern California wildfires in the video below.
