Kate Middleton Kicks Off Children’s Mental Health Week With Passionate PSA: Watch!

The Duchess of Cambridge filmed the PSA last month.

Kate Middleton is speaking out in honor of Children’s Mental Health Week! The 36-year-old Duchess of Cambridge recorded a PSA about the charity Place2Be for the occasion, emphasizing the importance of children’s mental health.

“Childhood is an incredibly important moment in our lives. It is the time when we explore our personalities, discover the potential that lies within us and learn how we be ourselves,” the pregnant royal says in the clip. “Our experience of the world at this early stage helps to shape who we become as adults and how we begin to feel comfortable in our own skin.”

The theme of this year’s Children’s Mental Health Week is “Being Ourselves” and promotes children and youth embracing who they are and the qualities that make them unique.

The video message was filmed last month during Middleton’s visit to the Reach Academy, and she’s wearing her blue printed Seraphine maternity dress, which she has recycled several times throughout her pregnancies.

Middleton, who is already mom to son Prince George, 4, and daughter Princess Charlotte, 2, is expecting her third child in April.

She and her husband, Prince William, recently returned from their Royal Tour of Sweden and Norway. For more from the visit, watch the clip below!
