Middleton appeared to pay homage to the late royal while stepping out to show off her new son on Monday.
Lady in red!
Kate Middleton wowed in a red Jenny Packham dress as she stepped out looking immaculate just hours after welcoming a baby boy at St Mary’s Hospital in London, England, on Monday.
But while the bold color choice was perfect for the celebratory moment, it also appeared to be another nod to the late Princess Diana, who also opted for bright red following the birth of her second son, Prince Harry, in 1984.
Diana also donned a red number during a visit to Canada with Prince Charles in 1983, and Kate’s latest post-birth outfit -- with its floral-patterned white collar, elbow-length sleeves and knee-length hem --appeared to be a modern take on that dress.
The 36-year-old mom also channeled Diana after the birth of her first son, George, stepping out in a blue polka dot frock, which drew comparisons to the dotted dress Diana wore after giving birth to William in 1982.
The new baby makes three for the royal couple, who are already parents to George, 4, and Charlotte, 2.
While getting into his car to drive home, William, 35, was in good spirits, telling reporters that he had “thrice worry now!”
