The pop star will release 'Man of the Woods' on Feb. 2.
Justin Timberlake is kicking off the new year with some new music!
On Tuesday, the 36-year-old pop star announced that he will be releasing his fifth solo studio album on Feb. 2, titled Man of the Woods. Timberlake broke the news to fans with a video he shared on social media, and teased in the caption that he might be dropping a song or two on "FRIDAY..."
"This album was really inspired by my wife, my son, my family, but more so than any album I've ever written, where I'm from," the Memphis-born musician says in the video. "It's personal."
The scenic video includes shots of Timberlake cuddling up to wife Jessica Biel and him holding their 2-year-old son, Silas. It also shows the GRAMMY winner in the studio with Pharrell Williams.
The release of Man of the Woods just so happens to fall two days before Timberlake headlines the Super Bowl LII halftime show on Feb. 4.
Fans are highly anticipating Timberlake's performance at the big game, and a source told ET that it's not out of the realm of possibility that Janet Jackson would join him. After all, this will be the singer's first time invited back to perform at the Super Bowl since the infamous wardrobe malfunction that occurred in 2004 when he shared the stage with Jackson.
“The door is wide open,” a source close to the 51-year-old songstress told ET. “If Justin or his team did reach out, Janet would perform with him again in a minute.”
