MTV officially announced that the cast of its hit show is getting back together for an all-new revival series next year.
Jersey Shore is coming back to MTV!
The network announced on Monday -- during the premiere of their new reality series Floribama Shore -- that the cast of the once-popular reality show are reunited for a revival series, Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.
"WHERE’S THE BEACH?! The cast of #JerseyShore is headed out on a family vacation coming to @MTV in 2018," the show tweeted, along with a 20-second teaser.
Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, Jenni "JWOWW" Farley, Deena Nicole Cortese, Paul "Pauly D" Delvecchio, Vinny Guadagnino and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro are among the original cast members set to return for the revival series.
While the news is certainly exciting for fans who wanted more fist pumps after the show's original six-season run, there were more than a few clues that a revival was in the works.
On Nov. 2, just three days after MTV announced the series premiere of Floribama Shore, the network created a brand new Twitter account for Jersey Shore. Ever since, the account has been tweeting throwback pics and videos of the show, which the cast has been retweeting.
Also on Nov. 2, the cast began to try and spark a national conversation about how much everyone wants to see the show back on the air.
First, The Situation posted "You heard the People @MTV just bring back the Real #JerseyShore RT if u agree," as if it was something they were trying to convince MTV to do.
Then, that same day, a Twitter user tweeted at the cast, "You guys are a bit too old for the Jersey Shore," to which Snooki responded, "I’m 29, 2 kids, Married & can still funnel wine and do cartwheels on the dance floor. We aren’t dead."
Snooki also hinted at the reunion series on Sunday, when a Twitter user wrote, "geez if your gonna drink like that, at least get paid to do it....we love seeing you drink on tv LOL." Snooki replied, "It’ll happen again I’m sure."
Snooki then replied to a fan who said they "are living for" MTV's 36-hour Jersey Shore marathon, tweeting, "Same. Ask Santa for more."
On Sunday, JWOWW also surprised fans by promoting Floribama Shore on Twitter.
Then, on Monday, hours before the official teaser was released, Vinny tweeted, "The people have spoken. There will be a HUGE #JerseyShore announcement tonight on @mtv. Stay tuned and stay woke."
Still acting is if popular demand and a grassroots fan movement was the impetus for bringing the cast back together, MTV took to Twitter ahead of the Floribama Shore premiere to tease the announcement officially, writing, "You talked, and we listened. A big #JerseyShore announcement is coming tonight during the premiere of @FloribamaShore at 10/9c."
ET recently caught up with some of the cast members of Floribama Shore and they had nothing but love for the stars who came before them.
"I loved Jersey Shore, I thought it was fun. I loved Snooki. She was fun; a blast in a glass. She was awesome," Codi Butts told ET.
"I loved everybody from the cast," Candace Rice chimed in. "I really enjoyed JWoww. I like a lot of characteristics about her. She's very much the reasonable one in the house, but she kinda has that fighting spirit to her."
Jeremiah Buoni added, "We're not trying to take away Jersey Shore's spot. Because without them, we wouldn't have a TV show."
