Rumors first sparked that the two were working together in December.
Jennifer Lopez and Cardi B's collaboration is official!
The two have played coy about working together on a new track since Lopez's boyfriend, Alex Rodriguez, seemed to reveal their collab on Instagram Live in December -- but now J.Lo is finally opening up! The 48-year-old singer has finally confirmed that Cardi B will be featured on her upcoming song, "Dinero."
“I feel like you already know that I collaborated with Cardi B,” Lopez recently told Latina.com. “I do have a record coming out with her and it’s coming out soon. The name of the song is ‘Dinero.’ I don’t know what the video is going to be yet but we’ll see what we come up with.”
Lopez gave fans a sneak peek of "Dinero" at Calibash at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, on Jan. 20, where she also danced to "Bodak Yellow" in front of Cardi B.
"This is a Bronx girl dream :’)I just can’t believe I.T ❤️❤️❤️ The mother @jlo," Cardi captioned a video of Lopez's performance.
ET spoke with DJ Khaled, who produced the track, just a few days before J.Lo's performance, where he revealed that everything was "top secret."
"I can tell you this: J.Lo's got some new music coming," he teased. "I want to thank J.Lo for letting me be one of the producers amongst other great ones, and a feature on the record. I'm grateful."
"Cardi B, man, she's doing her thing. God bless her," he said. "To get in the game, these are the rewards and the accomplishments that we all work hard for, [like] her Hot 100s. I remember getting my first Hot 100 No. 1. I know the feeling. I know how exciting that is. It's a drive to make you keep going more and more and more and more."
"Nothing but love for Cardi B and all the new artists out there doing their thing," he added.
