The 'Today' show host stopped by as Kelly and Meghan Trainor were rehearsing a song.

Kelly Clarkson and Meghan Trainor were in for a surprise when Hoda Kotb recently swung by the set of The Kelly Clarkson Show and brought two fans along with her -- her two young daughters!

In an Instagram video posted Monday, the 59-year-old Today show anchor can be seen sneaking up on an oblivious Clarkson, 42, and Trainor, 30 -- clearly immersed in a conversation. With 7-year-old Haley Joy and 4-year-old Hope Catherine in tow, Kotb approaches the pop singers quietly as audience members burst out into applause at the random appearance from another NBC personality.

The Kelly Clarkson Show and Today both shoot at the famed 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City, making a surprise crossover bound to happen from time to time. The visit from Kotb's two daughters -- whom she shares with ex-fiancé Joel Schiffman -- makes the occurrence all the more special, of course.

"It's such a cool building," the "Since You Been Gone" singer tells the audience. "Random people will stop by."

"We love when friends come to visit! 🥰," The Kelly Clarkson Show's account captioned the video of the sweet meetup.

After the initial shock of the surprise wears off, the gang of ladies hug it out -- Clarkson opting for a side-hug with Kotb due to having "makeup on my arm" -- and Kotb waves emphatically to Clarkson's studio audience while Trainor chats with Hope and Haley.

Before heading out, Kotb quickly snaps a pic of her girls with the two singers and graciously thanks Trainor and Clarkson for allowing them to visit during filming.

The episode featuring the "Dear Future Husband" singer aired on Monday and while Kotb's cameo on set did not make the final cut, viewers were treated to a special version of "Kellyoke" with Trainor and Clarkson. In honor of the 10th anniversary of the release of Trainor's hit song, "All About That Bass," the duo recreated the song to kick off the show.

The duet comes just days after ET spoke with American Idol judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan, as well as host Ryan Seacrest, who named Clarkson and Trainor as two potential options to replace Katy Perry at the end of the current season.

"Not only did I think about it, I slipped important notes. You know what I'm saying, Kelly, we've been together a long time," Richie, 74, joked. "Kelly, if you don't have anything else to do, I'd like to drop that out there. Big fan!"

As for Bryan, 47, and Seacrest, 49, they shared that Trainor -- who recently appeared on the show in a mentor capacity -- could absolutely be the one to fill the seat left by Perry, 39, in just a few weeks time. The "Wide Awake" singer announced her departure in February after seven seasons.

"I think Meghan's always been real fun. You know, that's kinda been her brand, to have fun," Bryan said. "[She's] real witty, so certainly."

Seacrest agreed, saying, "She was very good. Meghan is a super talent, too, and she's got a great sense of humor. She's fun and she's spontaneous."
