Halle Bailey welcomed her son, Halo, with boyfriend DDG in 2023.
Halle Bailey honored her first Mother's Day with some sentimental memories!
On Sunday, The Little Mermaid star shared a video featuring memories with her and DDG's son, Halo, whom they welcomed last year.
"my first mother’s day ♥️the greatest love i’ve ever known 🥹," the 24-year-old wrote.
The video begins with Bailey seemingly entering the first moments of labor and then cuts to her holding her son for the first time. Halo -- whose parents have opted to not have his face appear on social media -- is seen in clips reaching his little hand out to touch his mom's face, being cradled by his father and sleeping on his mother's chest.
DDG (whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.) took to his respective Instagram Story to celebrate his girlfriend.
"Happy Mother's Day to the best mom to our cry baby @hallebailey,'' he wrote over a photo of him and Halle smiling as their son cries.
The new parents also marked the holiday by getting matching tattoos of Halo's name on their wrists.
In January, the "In My Hands" songstress kicked off the new year by announcing the birth of Halo, who arrived in December 2023.
"Even though we're a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son," Bailey wrote on Instagram, sharing a photo of the newborn's hand wearing a gold nameplate bracelet. "Welcome to the world my halo 🥰👼🏽 ✨the world is desperate to know you 😉🤣♥️"
In April, Bailey got candid about her "severe" postpartum depression and the connection it has to her body image.
"Halo is a miracle. He is perfect. He is beautiful. When I look at him, I cry because of how special he is. The only thing that's been hard for me is feeling normal in my own body," Bailey said in part. "I feel like a completely different person when I look in the mirror. I just feel like I'm in a whole new body, and I don't know who I am."
In February, ET spoke with the new mom at the 2024 GRAMMYs, where she gushed about how confident motherhood has made her.
"Gucci made it for me and I feel confident. I’m really excited. I think I was excited to step back and wear form-fitting stuff after pregnancy so it's been really fun," she said of her dress. "I definitely feel more powerful and, like, more womanly, you know?"
The same weekend, DDG and Bailey gave an update about their son and parenthood.
"It's wonderful," Bailey told ET during their first official date night. "I love our baby so much. We're so happy."
"It's amazing," DDG added.
