2016 Olympics: Livin' Large With the Final Five

Douglas couldn't attend the 2016 MTV VMAs due to an "allergic reaction," according to her Olympic teammates, but the rest of the "Final Five" --  Raisman, Kocian, Hernandez, and Biles -- proudly posed on the "white" carpet in New York City on Aug. 28. The group would present an award during the Sunday night show.

Lucky ladies! After stopping by The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon on Aug. 23, the Final Five headed to Broadway, where they not only took in the massive hit, Hamilton, they even got to meet the cast backstage.

During a whirlwind day of interviews and appearances, Raisman took time out to thank fans. "Lots of love being back in the USA :)," she captioned an Instagram pic with her teammates on Aug. 23, along with an American flag emoji. "We thank you all for the love and support."

ET's Jennifer Peros chatted with the gymnasts at the top of the Empire State Building in New York City on Aug. 24, where Biles opened up about a bid for a different kind of glory on Dancing With the Stars. "Well, I would love to, but the fall season won't work because [of] the tour," the 19-year-old gymnast, who is contracted to participate in Kellogg's Tour of Gymnastics Champions, explained. "If I could do the spring season, I would love to do that!"

The Final Five shared the love with Usher, a huge fan of the gymnasts, when they both appeared on the Today show on Aug. 23. The R&B singer even tried on one of their gold medal’s, which Raisman joked was "NBD."

Can you blame Biles for taking a power nap on the long flight back to the States from Brazil? "Miss @simonebiles fell asleep before we took off. WHO'S THE GRANDMA NOW GUYS," Rasiman teased her teammate on Aug. 22.

Raisman, Biles, Hernandez, and Kocian showed off their fabulous Ralph Lauren "U.S.A." jackets ahead of the Closing Ceremony on Aug. 21.

"SILVER MEDAL SQUAD. Whaaaaadup," Raisman captioned a pic with Kocian, Team USA men's gymnast Danel Leyva, and Hernandez as they flashed the peace sign during the final ceremony in Rio.

Hernandez snagged a selfie with her fellow Olympian and Garden State gal, track and field star Sydney McLaughlin.

After dominating at the Summer Games, it was time to finally enjoy one of the most amazing parts of Rio: the beach! Kocian, Biles, and Raisman were stoked to finally have some relaxation time on Aug. 20, while the rest of us stood in awe of those crazy (and hard-earned!) six-pack abs.

When the competitions were all over, Raisman teased her mom, Lynn, who became notorious during the games for her tense sideline reactions while her daughter was on the mat. "She's relaxed now," the 22-year-old gymnast wrote of her bathing suit-clad mama on Aug. 20.

Biles was pretty excited to have "the pleasure of meeting the greatest, Mo Farah," on Aug. 20, admitting that "we fangirled over each other."

Once the madness of competing calmed down, Douglas hit the links with her mom and a friend at the Nike House on Aug. 19.

We bow down! Two days after winning silver in the floor final, Raisman was already back in the gym, appropriately using the hashtag "#motivated" and a strong arm emoji for this treadmill selfie.

Hernandez was very happy to see British diver Tom Daley while the two were wandering around the Olympic Village on Aug. 17.

Raisman and Biles munched on the ultimate home-away-from-home comfort food on Aug. 17: McDonald's! Their treats? French fries and chocolate ice cream, naturally.

Biles battled back from a bronze medal on the balance beam to earn gold in the women's floor exercise on Aug. 16.

Raisman earned silver in the same event on day 11 of the 2016 Summer Games, ending her second Olympics run with one gold and two silver medals.

Sure, it's pretty nice to win an Olympic medal, but you know what's also awesome? Meeting Zac Efron! Biles is a megafan who has pronounced her love of the actor many times, and she finally got to meet the Neighbors 2 star when he surprised Team USA in Rio. "He kissed me on the cheek just letting y'all know," the gold gymnast proudly tweeted after their meeting on Aug. 16, adding lip and heart emojis.

Raisman and Kocian completed their final workout in Rio on Aug. 15, one day ahead of the floor finals.

Raisman caught up with her friend Nastia Liukin on Aug. 14. Liukin is a retired gold medal Olympic gymnast whose last games were in 2008.

Hernandez and Biles took home the silver and bronze medals, respectively, in the women's balance beam finals on Aug. 15. While Sanne Wevers of the Netherlands took home the gold, Biles' bronze was notably impressive given her unexpected stumble. The high level of difficulty of her routine, which she otherwise carried out flawlessly, still earned her an impressive score.

Raisman tried out a post-gymnastics career: makeup artist! "Testing out makeup options for @madison_kocian bar finals tomorrow!!" she captioned her Instagram post on Aug. 13. "So excited to cheer my girls on!!! @lauriehernandez_ and I will be the best cheerleaders in the stands!!!!"

Hernandez sweetly thanked her coach, Maggie Haney, for her decade of hard work. "We did this together. Thank you," the 16-year-old gymnast wrote on Aug. 16, adding a heart emoji.

Kocian's selfie with Hernandez nicely sums up what we assume the Olympics feels like for all athletes. "We're just having the time of our lives out here in Rio," the 19-year-old gymnast wrote on Aug. 13, adding a kissy face emoji.

Raisman held on tightly to Biles as the pair awaited to hear their scores in the women's individual all-around final on Aug. 11. Biles would win the gold, while Raisman took home silver.

Talk about good sportsmanship! Kocian congratulated her teammates, Raisman and Biles, following their silver and gold wins, respectively, with a sweet message penned alongside side-by-side selfies with them. "HUGE congrats to these amazing girls," she wrote on Aug. 11. "Olympic All Around Gold & Silver Medalists!! They deserve every bit of the success after all the hard work they put in! I look up to them for so many reasons & I'm so proud of them! I love y'all so much."

The Final Five celebrated their gold medal in the women's gymnastics team competition on Aug. 9.

All five gymnasts posed in their patriotic leotards on Aug. 1. "Honored to wear this flag & represent USA with these girls," Kocian captioned the Instagram pic.

The Games hadn't even kicked off by July 30, but Raisman was already taking advantage of her new international friendships. "Pin trading like its ma day job ;)," she captioned, showing off her expanding collection.

Hernandez shared an adorable "rare pic of mama Aly tucking me in bed" on July 30.

Having arrived in Rio de Janeiro, Douglas took to Instagram on July 27 to show off the view from her temporary home for the 2016 Summer Olympics.
