Season seven of How I Met Your Mother premieres September 19 at 8 p.m. on CBS!

"There’s an episode in the first few where Ted really wants to be part of [Marshall & Lily's] pregnancy," teases co-creator Craig Thomas. "He wants to be weighing in on decisions and the best diet for Lily. He really wants to be part of it because it’s not happening for him. It’s sort of sweet and cute."

As for Ted, seen here giving a speech at his childhood friend Punchy's wedding, you can expect last year's season finale to have long-reaching effects for him this year as well.

"Barney and Robin clear the floor at a wedding for an awesome dance number," executive producer and co-creator Craig Thomas told EW of the moment depicted above. But don't let this one moment of fun fool you, the more somber tone HIMYM struck last season will carry over in a big way. "You couldn’t miss it in that longing look she gave Barney, who was looking at Nora [Nazanin Boniadi]," Thomas adds. "If there are fans of the Robin and Barney relationship in all of its weird complexities, they’re going to be very excited about this season. We pick up on the fact that there are feelings again."

How I Met Your Mother ended its sixth season with one of their biggest shockers to date: Barney's getting married?!? This quickly followed the reveal that Robin still harbors feelings for her ex-flame. This immediately preceded the bombshell that Lily and Marshall are pregnant. And Ted, well, he's still Ted. Suffice it to say, the show has a lot of questions to answer when it returns this September, and as you can tell from these just-released photos, the premiere episode is headed back to the altar.
