ET Flashback '83: Jim Carrey
Jim Carrey is making headlines with his online love letter to Emma Stone, and we were with the rubber-faced funnyman all the way back in 1983, when he was just getting notice for his "man of a thousand faces" stand-up act and role as an animator on the short-lived sitcom The Duck Factory.
Asked about the possibilities of achieving serious fame, he humbly replied, "As far as being nervous about making it or anything like that, I'm having a real good time and I'm just plugging along, and I think it can happen if you're just not taking it too seriously. If your failures won't kill you, it'll happen."
