The brunette beauty also gets candid on her friendship with fellow model Kendall Jenner.
Bella Hadid is living her best life.
Rocking a bright red dress, thigh-high boots and earrings by Dior, the 20-year-old model stuns on the cover of InStyle's August issue. In her accompanying interview with the magazine, she gets candid about her friendship with Kendall Jenner, finding success at such a young age and why she's completely content with where she's at in her life right now.

As many of Hadid's fans know, she was diagnosed with Lyme disease, along with her mother, Yolanda, and brother, Anwar, in 2012. Although she didn't announce the diagnosis until 2015, she's been extremely vocal about how her struggles affect her daily life.
"When I was 16, 17, I went out and did that whole thing," she explains. "At the time I didn't know about Lyme or what I was really diagnosed with. I thought going out and being with my friends would make me feel better, but it didn't."
"Now I feel like a grandma," she continues. "I'll go out occasionally, but I'd rather go to work and have 100 percent energy, because I barely have enough to get through the day as it is."
Luckily, she's been able to keep a positive attitude through all of life's ups and downs, including breakups. Hadid tells InStyle she's single but "happy" following her highly publicized split from The Weeknd last November. The "Starboy" singer has since moved on with Selena Gomez.
"When you're happy, you want to eat and experience and enjoy life," she says. "I'm there! And I'm eating, and I'm living! And I've gained a couple pounds, but I'm good!"
Part of that happiness comes from all the modeling work she's had over the past year, walking in fashion shows for high-end designers in New York, Paris and Milan and recently landing the coveted face of Dior title.
"The first time I heard that I booked Dior, I was hysterically crying to my agent," she recalls. "'You mean Dior? Are you lying? Do you mean a different brand from Europe?'"
And while she seems to be extremely grateful for all the opportunities that have come her way thus far, she admits she may want to branch out from the modeling world someday.
"At the end of the day, I think working this much is going to give me a better platform to do bigger things in the world," she exclaims. "I'm not saying I don't love my job, but people think modeling is just a bulls**t thing to become more famous. I was 100 percent independent by the time I was 18, and I paid for my own apartment. That wasn't because of my parents. I worked my a** off for two years."
And she isn't the only one! Hadid's sister, Gigi, is also a model and the two have become close pals with Jenner, someone the brunette beauty says helps her remember to "be present."

"I met [Kendall] for the first time seven years ago over Twitter," she says. "That was before we started modeling; I was probably 14 or 15. We met up and had sushi, and now we're best friends. She's a pretty significant human I met online."
