Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Rihanna have one thing in common - they've all been muses for fashion designer Jeremy Scott.
Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Rihanna have one fashionable person in common: Jeremy Scott. The quirky designer has worked with some of the most fashion-forward -- and forward-thinking -- celebrities around, so ET took a look at the upcoming documentary on music's most-wanted designer.

Jeremy Scott: The People's Designer chronicles Scott's rise from the bottom to taking the helm as creative director of Moschino. In a trailer for the film, Scott explains that as a child growing up in rural Missouri, his current life seemed unattainable.
"As a kid on a farm in a small town, looking at magazines and seeing high fashion and wanting to be a part of it so badly, I didn't realize the runways were fake and that TV wasn't real," he says. "I don't want to be seen as a facsimile of someone else."
Scott has managed to steer clear of that trap, as Perry will attest. The chart-topping singer is the current face of Moschino, and she wore some of Scott's most buzzed-about pieces during her Emmy-nominated Super Bowl performance.
Perry appears in the documentary along with stars such as Cyrus, Rihanna, Jared Leto, Lady Gaga, Rita Ora, A$AP Rocky and Kelly Osbourne and more, who all sing Scott's praises.

As wonderful as it is to be lauded by famous friends, Scott’s real hope is that viewers will walk away from the movie with a particular message. "You don't have to have been born with a silver spoon in your mouth, but if you have a dream and you have a vision and you work hard, it is possible [to succeed]," Scott says in the clip. "It is the American dream."
Jeremy Scott: The People's Designer hits theaters September 18.
