Carrie Underwood can't go a day without makeup.
It takes a lot of commitment to look as good as Carrie Underwood.
According to the 31-year-old country superstar herself, she can't go a day without makeup.
"I don't think I ever have makeup-free days, to be honest," she reveals in a new interview with makeup guru Bobbi Brown for Yahoo Beauty. "I wear makeup for me. I don't want to walk by a mirror and feel like I haven't given some sort of effort. I just feel better when I have a little on."
Carrie says her love of makeup started young.
"I have always loved it," she explains. "I was probably actually one of the kids that actually started wearing makeup a little bit younger. If I had a daughter I might have her hold off for a little while longer, but it gave me more time to learn."
The former American Idol champ impressively even does her own hair and makeup on tour.
"There are just so many people on the road, and it’s kind of therapeutic for me to be able to sit on my butt, and have all my things, and it’s quiet," she says about her own form of Me Time. "It's my time to play."
Carrie, a proud vegan for 10 years now, also dishes about how her eating habits have changed now that she's pregnant with a baby boy. She and husband Mike Fisher announced in September that they're expecting their first child together through an adorable Instagram post.

"With pregnancy, I am definitely going more on the vegetarian side, but as soon as I am not pregnant anymore I will go back to being vegan," she reveals. "I don't think I am craving anything too crazy. I try to keep it as healthy as possible and try to take care of myself. And, you know, putting good things in!"
As for her professional hockey player husband of four years, she admits that the she and Mike actually don't travel too much together thanks to his not so great experiences on her tour.
"We both travel so much separately just for work, but he will come with me a little bit when I am on tour and I have summer dates," she says. "But that is really hard for him too because he is like, 'I don’t know what I am doing out here, I don’t have a purpose out here!' And living on a bus isn’t the easiest thing in the world!"
Though she of course watches her "hot" husband's NHL games.
"I think it is pretty hot watching him out on the ice actually!" she says bluntly. "I am pretty confident in my husband’s ability to take care of himself."
