A source told ET earlier this week that the legendary singer plans to spend her special day at home with her sons.
Fifty years of Celine!
Celine Dion turned 50 on Friday, and celebrated by giving fans a one-of-a-kind look at her incredible life. The legendary singer's team took to Facebook to share a sweet video paying tribute to Dion with never-before-seen family photos.
The video, set to songs like "I Drove All Night," "It's All Coming Back to Me," "Where Does My Heart Beat Now," showcases rare shots from Dion's childhood, as well as the beginning of her career, her romance with her late husband, Rene Angelil, and sweet family moments with her sons, Rene-Charles, Nelson and Eddy.
"? HAPPY 50th BIRTHDAY CÉLINE ! ?," her team captioned the video. "From the very first song written with her Mom and brother, we take a look back at some of the precious moments in Céline's personal and professional life. Make sure you comment below to wish Céline a Happy Birthday! ?."
As for how Dion will be spending her special day, a source told ET that instead of a big blowout party, she'll be celebrating the milestone at home with her kids.
According to the source, Dion had planned a celebration to take place during her concert at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. That was all scrapped when she was forced to cancel three weeks of performances to undergo surgery for an ear condition.
“She is now looking forward to spending time with her kids and loved ones on her big day,” the source said.
