On Monday, the 35-year-old GRAMMY winner set the record straight with a tweet.
"Y'all, me choosing to be makeup free doesn't mean I'm anti-makeup," she wrote. "Do you!"
Keys' makeup-free style comes as no surprise as she has been at the forefront of the #NoMakeup movement this summer along with stars like Demi Lovato, Jennifer Lopez, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kaley Cuoco, who have all shared pics of themselves in their natural beauty.

"Night out with my #1 #VMAs," she tweeted along with a picture of the happy couple backstage at Madison Square Garden on Sunday.
