Beyonce passed Dolly Parton on the GRAMMYs list of most-nominated women with five nominations on Friday, raising her tally to 51. Prior to today, the two divas were tied at 46.
The nods from today were for Best Urban Contemporary Album and Best Surround Sound Album (Beyonce), Best Music Film (Beyonce & Jay Z: On the Run Tour), and Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song ("Drunk In Love").
On a wider spectrum, Beyonce's latest nominations puts her in seventh place on the list of most Grammy-nominated artists overall. She's just behind Kanye West, whose 53 nominations place him in sixth place.
Beyonce's husband Jay Z lands at third on the list, tied with composer John Williams at 60 nominations and Quincy Jones remains at the top of the list with 79.
And that's not all! Beyonce still has a chance for yet another nomination this year, as we await the announcement for Album of the Year on A Very Grammy Christmas Special tonight at 9 p.m. on CBS.
Beyonce has won 17 Grammys for her work in Destiny's Child and as a solo artist.
