The filmmaker's movie, 'First They Killed My Father,' is nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the Globes.
Angelina Jolie is gearing up for the Golden Globes.
The 42-year-old actress was all smiles at the HFPA and American Cinematheque’s Golden Globe Foreign Language Nominees Series Symposium at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood on Saturday.
The brunette beauty arrived wearing a black mid-calf full skirt with a white button-up shirt, a charcoal-colored scarf and nude heels. Jolie was celebrating her movie First They Killed My Father, which is nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the Golden Globes this weekend.
First They Killed My Father is an adaptation of Cambodian-born human rights activist Loung Ung’s childhood memoir.
At the event, Jolie was joined by Ung, who also co-wrote the film, and producer Rithy Panh. The By the Sea star also participated in a panel to discuss her work on the project.
Jolie had busy been promoting the film at various film festivals last year, including Toronto International Film Festival where she was joined by her six children at the movie's premiere.
ET caught up with the A-lister on the red carpet, where she explained that her kids were "having a laugh" at her before the event.
Hear what she said in the video below.
